Mechanic quote second opinion

Car repair quotes can be stressful because most people do not know which parts are urgent, which are optional and which prices are normal. A second look can help you ask better questions before approving work.

Ask before approving

  • Is this repair urgent or advisory?
  • Can the quote separate parts and labour?
  • Are the parts OEM, aftermarket or used?
  • Is VAT/tax included?
  • What warranty is included?
  • Can you show photos of the issue?
  • What happens if more work is found?

Be careful when

  • The quote is vague.
  • You are pressured to approve immediately.
  • Several unrelated repairs are added without explanation.
  • No warranty is mentioned.
